Somewhere to show off...
Now I know a housing system* wouldn't really work in GW unless it was like the guild halls but I find that there is no real way to show off your collections.
I was in Ascalon the other day and some players were spamming that they were selling their halloween rewards. I started chatting with some random guy about how they should probably hold on to them longer seeing how they'd gain in value in a year or so (like the old regs, black dyes, statuettes in UO). However... I then thought that perhaps their value wouldn't really go up since what's the use for collectibles if you can't actually show them off.
I'm an old UO player (from the Second Age anyways) and people who had old items that didn't spawn anymore would show them off in their house. People can't do that in GW.
So I don't know. I think it would be cool to have some kind of a "gloating page" to act all tough 'cause you managed to hold on to your halloween stuff for two years.
(*) I think a housing system wouldn't really work with the Guild Wars's lore... unless something drastic changes in the plot in between the Gates of Kryta and the end game content (please don't spoil, I'm not there yet :P)

very good idea
I guess the best place would be the guildhall. Not that I need it to show-off (only skill in battle can really show how good you are), but like another money sink.

!!!
The Guild Hall could be a dynamic area, with a house per player/group of players, and would grow to accomodate more houses!

Yeah,
living quarters in the guild hall would be very interesting. Just a place to let your armour and weapons take a break... and have a jack'o'lantern on hallow's eve!

anywhere to show off my spoils, YES PLEASE! =)
I want to put up them hides from each of the races that drop them, on the wall, or make them lockdownable like UO's system for Vanity's sake.

Sounds a lot like Grotto, where all the poseurs and preeners go to look at each other and talk about world altering events such as dye combinations.
